Tiago Cabaço Alicante Bouschet Red

The Tiago Cabaço Alicante Bouschet  marks the thirteenth vintage of this signature single-varietal wine. The choice of Alicante Bouschet was both natural and immediate, given the grape’s strong recognition and exceptional development in the Alentejo region, as well as the outstanding results achieved from carefully selected vineyard plots.

Only the finest plots were chosen — those where Alicante Bouschet fully expresses its potential and reflects the richness and identity of our terroir.

Tasting Notes

Deep, compact ruby colour. On the palate, it shows fine yet powerful tannins and complex flavours, with notes of ripe red fruit. The finish is long, elegant, and persistent.

Winemaking

The harvest was carried out manually, with grapes transported to the winery in small boxes to preserve their quality. After destemming, the grapes were traditionally foot trodden in modern temperature-controlled stainless steel lagares.

The wine was then aged in French oak barrels, followed by extended bottle ageing to enhance complexity and refinement.

A structured and expressive red wine, perfect for pairing with red meats, game dishes, or enjoying on special occasions.

Tiago Cabaço Vinhas Velhas Red

The Tiago Cabaço Vinhas Velhas  is crafted from the oldest vines planted in the Estremoz region, where the finest grapes from traditional Alentejo varieties were carefully selected. This wine reflects the depth, authenticity, and character that only old vines can deliver.

Tasting Notes

Deep red in colour. Complex and perfumed on the nose, this wine is both structured and fresh on the palate, with fine, elegant tannins. The finish is well-defined, persistent, and beautifully balanced.

Winemaking

The 2024 harvest progressed smoothly, with extended ripening periods and generally moderate weather conditions throughout the year. All grapes were carefully selected on a sorting table before entering the winery.

Fermentation took place entirely in temperature-controlled stainless steel lagares, where the grapes were traditionally foot crushed. The wine was then aged in French oak barrels before final blending and bottling, enhancing its structure and refinement.

Tiago Cabaço Syrah Red

The Tiago Cabaço Syrah marks the seventh vintage of this signature single-varietal collection. Produced from grapes sourced from the finest parcels of our Syrah vineyards, this wine showcases the depth and personality that define this remarkable variety.

Tasting Notes

Intense in both colour and aroma, this Syrah is concentrated and seductive, with expressive floral and ripe fruit notes. On the palate, it stands out for its vibrant freshness on the finish and its soft yet powerful tannins, which enhance a long and exciting aftertaste.

Winemaking

The 2023 harvest allowed us to pick grapes at perfect ripeness, achieving a balance and precision that continue to impress with their evolution and liveliness.

Alongside the outstanding quality of the fruit, we benefited from continuous investment and thoughtful decisions — from the close proximity of vineyards to the winery, to patient and gentle pressing, low fermentation temperatures, and the use of small-capacity tanks — always with meticulous attention to detail.

The wine was then aged for 15 months in French oak barrels, adding complexity, structure, and elegance.

A bold yet refined red wine, ideal for pairing with grilled meats, hearty dishes, or enjoying on special occasions.
