Cartuxa EA Reserva Red

The premium proposal of the EA range.
This wine is characterised by its smoothness and youth, based on the main Alentejo grape varieties.
It was first produced in 2005.

Winemaking: Produced from Alicante Bouschet, Syrah, Aragonez and Touriga Nacional, planted in the vineyards of the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation. When the grapes reach the ideal stage of ripeness, they are harvested and transported to the winery, where the technological process begins with total destemming and light crushing. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature of 24–27ºC. After fermentation, part of the batch is aged in wood for 6 months. After ageing, blending, filtration and bottling follow.
