With a more elongated shape and yellowish color, this type of bean has striking characteristics and forms a full-bodied, reddish and full of flavor broth that will surprise you.
Jalo beans are the variety richest in dietary fiber, which help regulate bowel function and reduce the concentration of sugar and cholesterol in the blood.
Like other bean varieties, Jalo Beans are rich in iron, an important mineral in preventing anemia. It is touted as a great ally in combating high blood cholesterol levels, which can bring risks to heart health.

EASY TO COOK RECIPE:
1) In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup (tea) of Jalo CAMIL beans, 6 cups (tea) of water and 1 bay leaf.
2) Cover the pan and cook over medium heat for 30 to 40 minutes from the start of pressure.
3) Turn off the heat and wait for all the pressure to release before opening the pot. Reserve.
4) In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat and sauté 1 small chopped onion or your favorite seasonings.
5) Add 1 ladle of cooked CAMIL Jalo Beans and mash the beans with the back of the ladle.
6) Then add all the cooked CAMIL Jalo Beans and 1 teaspoon of salt and cook for 10 minutes or until the broth thickens.
Preparation time: 55 minutes
TIP: To cook faster, soak the Jalo CAMIL beans the night before. Discard the sauce water and cook with 5 cups (tea) of water for 10 minutes, starting from the beginning of the pressure.
