Like other bean varieties, “Bolinhas” Beans are rich in iron, an important mineral in preventing anemia. It is touted as a great ally in combating high blood cholesterol levels, which can bring risks to heart health.

EASY TO COOK RECIPE
1) In a pressure cooker, add 1 cup (tea) of CAMIL “Bolinha” Beans and 6 cups (tea) of water.
2) Cover the pan and cook over medium heat for 25 to 35 minutes from the start of pressure.
3) Turn off the heat and wait for all the pressure to release before opening the pot. Reserve.
4) In another pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat and sauté 1 small onion or your favorite seasonings.
5) Add 1 ladle of cooked CAMIL “Bolinha” Beans and mash the beans with the back of the ladle.
6) Then, add all the boiled CAMIL “Bolinha” Beans and 1 teaspoon of salt and cook for 10 minutes or until the broth thickens.
Preparation time: 50 minutes
TIP: Try adding bacon, pepperoni sausage or ribs when preparing the beans. To cook faster, soak the Bolinha CAMIL beans the night before. Discard the sauce water and cook with 4 cups (tea) of water for 10 minutes, starting from the beginning of the pressure.
