H.M.Borges Malmsey 1998 Madeira Wine 50cl

Produced exclusively from Malvasia in 1998. Brownish topaz with reflections. Brownish-yellow-orange nuances. Exotic aromas derived from the evolution of tannins during the conservation of wine in barrels. Complex mixture of orange, tobacco, chocolate, caramel and toasted almond aroma. Notes of vanilla and dried fruits. At taste, the flavour is inebriating, sweet, clear, elegant, harmonious and complex. Well-structured acidity and body, harmonious in sweetness and tannins.

Decanting

It may be necessary to decant Wine to remove any sediment which may have formed over the years. But it may also be necessary to decant wines which were bottled some time ago, since they develop volatile aromas created by the high acidity of the wine. In this case, decanting into a decanter is recommended then, covering it, or into a glass or crystal bottle, with the wine being returned to the original bottle after a week.
