Iberian Porks are carefully fattened under strict supervision, following a diet primarily based on cereals and legumes. This ensures they reach maturity with the ideal weight and muscular strength to endure several months feeding solely on what nature provides. Once they achieve the perfect condition, they are released to roam freely across vast meadows, grazing on the wild fruits available in the fields. Their diet is later supplemented with cereals, and the ham undergoes a 24-month dry-curing process.
