Caminhos Cruzados Teixuga 2019 Gift Box 75cl x 3

Vinification: Made from grapes from the old vineyards of Quinta da Teixuga, with a predominance of the Encruzado variety, this wine fermented in a first phase in stainless steel vats, subject to temperature control, finishing fermentation in French oak barrels, where it aged for 34 months. During the aging period, “bâtonnage” was carried out periodically, in order to obtain the optimal integration of the wine with the wood. After bottling, this wine aged for approximately 7 months in the bottle. Therefore, given the particular aging conditions and the characteristics so specific to the Encruzado grape variety, this is a wine with great aging capacity.

Aging: 34 months in new and used French oak barrels with periodic battonage. After bottling, it aged for around 7 months in the bottle.

Aroma: Great intensity, revealing aromatic complexity due to the particular aging conditions. The superior integration of aromas from the French oak where it aged stands out.

Mouth: Intense, voluminous attack, revealing a lively but very integrated acidity. The ending is long and memorable.

Pairs well with roast goat, oven-baked cod, soft cheeses. Contains sulphites.
