This is another “jewel in the crown” from HM Borges, a 1990 vintage 100% from Sercial grapes grown on the north coast of the island bottled after 20 years of ageing in 650 litres American oak casks. The wine shows an intense aroma reminiscent of orange peel, alnuts and honey. Dry on the palate and very complex on the palate with firm tannins. A grand Madeira.
